How to Read a Book

Although, not a famous self-help book, the title of the book often attracts readers especially book-addicts. Even though it is the only famous book I have heard of  (and read) that teaches the art of reading a book, I don't think one should spend time reading it. The book goes into extreme details of book reading that are not so useful to a normal reader who just reads to increase knowledge. People who are extremely passionate about book reading and enjoy it greatly can check out the book if they want and have the time. But, I think the book is not going to help you much in increasing your understanding of what you read. If you want some help in this field, you can check out various useful articles on the internet (links given below) or tell me (in the comment box) if I should write an article regarding the same.

But, most of all, I believe that we learn anything by doing or practicing it. Although some basic knowledge is necessary and important, nothing can replace 'learning by doing'. So, read more and more books and you will automatically get good at book reading. Just keep doing timely reflection.
